What We Manage.
An owner may place the full management of a vessel with us, or agree a narrower scope. Either way, the boundary is written down before the appointment starts.

Technical Management
A ship stays fit to trade when maintenance is planned, defects are closed, and certificates are in date. Technical management covers the hull and the machinery, the surveys, and the money spent to keep both in order.
- Planned maintenance, defect lists, and condition reporting
- Class and flag surveys, with certificates kept in date
- Dry dock specification, yard attendance, and repair follow-up
- Spares, stores, and lubricants, purchased against an agreed budget
- Machinery performance, reported as figures rather than reassurance
- Emergency support when a defect has to be handled at sea or in port
Crew Management
The crew is part of the ship’s condition. We man the vessel to the flag and the safe manning document, and we treat relief, contracts, and welfare as planned work.
- Manning scales and relief planning, rank by rank
- Certificates, medicals, and flag endorsements checked before joining
- Employment agreements, wages, and allotments administered properly
- Familiarisation and safety-management training for joining crew
- A direct route for welfare matters and complaints
Vessel Operations
Operation is the daily conduct of the ship: the port call, the bunker stem, the stores, and the master’s need for a clear answer. We work to the owner’s instructions and to the master’s responsibility for the vessel.
- Port-call planning and coordination with the appointed agents
- Bunker stems, followed up on quantity and quality
- Stores, provisions, and husbandry
- Cargo care and hold or tank condition, where the trade requires it
- Noon reports, voyage records, and off-hire stated without decoration
- Operational support to the master
Assurance
Safety management, security, and insurance only work if they are kept current. We treat them as part of running the ship, not as a file that is opened for the auditor.
- The safety management system, maintained and used on board
- ISPS, MLC, and statutory compliance
- Incident reporting and follow-up that names a cause and a correction
- Internal review, and preparation for external audit
- Hull and machinery, P&I, and other covers coordinated with the owner’s brokers
- Claims notified in time, with the documents an underwriter will ask for
To appoint Ocean Drops, write with the ship’s name, type, flag, class, and where she is trading. Contact the Office.
